Title: Brush Country Sourdough Biscuits

Yield: 1 Recipe

Sift into a bowl: 2 c. flour 2 ts. baking powder 2 T. sugar 1/2 ts. salt

Add: 2 rounded T. shortening kneaded into flour mixture 1/2 c. warm milk 1 c. sourdough starter (after stirring it well)

Mix well and turn out onto floured board and knead eight or ten times. The dough should be spongy and slightly sticky. Pinch off a piece of dough, form into biscuit and place on greased pan or roll out and cut with biscuit cutter). Grease top and set pan in a warm place 20 or 30 minutes. Bake in a 400 degree oven about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
